diamond/double slated grills on f40 with active grill

Hi community. Has anybody fitted a double slated or diamond grill with active vent on post 2021 118i? Need to down bumper? Can the flap be removed? Any error codes?

I’ve tried both double slat and diamond grill on my f40 118 and neither had an error message. The place that does the correct diamond grill fitment is from Carbon Accents. Haven’t had to remove active grill flaps at all.
