The insurance is not so much for aggressive drivers, but for mishaps such as getting a nail in your tire. I think if you are offered a good deal on the insurance, it may be worth it to take it.

The wheel insurance was the only extra I added and it was by the recommendation of my friend. I've experienced a few incidents with a nail in my tire or my tires going flat before and I can't afford to replace a tire every single time it happens, so it was worth it for me to add the insurance. Not to mention, it's also reassuring to know that should anything happen, it's already covered. I was told that BMW will not repair run flat tires and will require you to purchase a new one. I have heard that they can be repaired, but it is not recommended. If you are pretty confident about your car or if you can afford to replace your tires should anything happen, it may not be worth it to add the insurance. I hope this has helped somewhat. Good luck!

tire insurance is as much of a rip off as gap insurance, paint protection..... anything they try and sell you in the little finance office at the end
run away, for $900 you can almost buy a whole set of new tires |

My dealer wanted $495 for 4/50,000 road hazard.
I decided against it. Why would yours be almost double my price?

I would look at your experience with the tires on you previous cars.
Then judge as to weather or not it would be worth it.

Gap insurance is automatically included on all BMWFS leases at no extra charge. The finance manager at Don Jacobs BMW in Lexington, Kentucky tried to tell me she would only include it if I purchased the tire protection plan. Needless to say, I didn't buy my car there!
