Question Aftermarket tires on the stock 264 oem wheels ?

What are the largest tires F and R that should be used on the stock 264's? Keep in mind that I plan on lowering about an 1" also.

Front are 7.5" and rear are 8.5"

Can someone confirm the offset of these F & R?

Thanks

Offset info is in a sticky at the top of this forum.

Some people are doing 225x40 and 255x35 on the OE rims.

Do I understand this correctly? A wider front tire will help conteract some of the understeer. If I were to increase both front and rear up one size would the understeer still be there?

Most likely, since the relative difference is still there.

Do you have another car for winters? If you lower the car even with good traction and winter tires being lower is bad.
