This is the storm that chased us back to our hotel and apparently I had tumble-weed on my front bumber the whole way back. We cracked up...

Great pictures! Some of those roads look like they'd be fun. Hope you gave her a good bath after that dirt road!!

I did enjoy these pictures!!! Your pictures brought a smile to my face-I love the dirt, the open roads, the tumbleweeds. We are planning to take my new car out on a couple of long road trips in the first few months (down the Eastern Sierras & into Yosemite "the back way" from Tioga Pass in the fall, plus an August trip TBD-maybe up to Oregon).

I'm guessing you've gotten your first few scratches by now; I see you mentioned a ding from a flying rock. It happens sooner or later, at least you got it doing something FUN with your new car. And I'm particularly happy to see that your tires handled that gravel road without going flat on you-I've very paranoid about getting stuck in the middle of nowhere w/ a flat tire.

Thanks all. It was a great trip, I cannot stress how fun the Black Hills of South Dakota are to drive. If you ever in the area, make the effort.
