I'm in the same position. I finally get to pick it up Friday night. It was off loaded in Halifax on Jan 16th. It takes a while to traverse a couple of provinces by train, maybe it was horse drawn.

Arrgh
That's good, horsedrawn carriage. I thought you guys up north used reindeer.
I noticed that you didn't get xi and you live in Ontario. Are you gonna spring for an extra set of wheels with snows? I found out that my financing source doesn't get the check to me til next week, and I have to wait a few days after that til it clears. ARRRRGHH. I think it's worse knowing that the car is in a lot half an hour away just waiting for me. |

I currently have a 2000 328Ci and love it but its time for a change. Rear wheel drive has never been a problem driving in the winter. 4 good snow tires and they pretty much will go anywhere. This is actually my 3rd BMW and the wife has a 98 318ti that she bought new with only 30000 mile on it. It never sees winter

I also forgot to mention that we live in the heart of Menonite country here, Quakers in PA. So horse drawn buggy's are common even in th eheart of the city.

3rd Bimmer ---Nice
In Western Pennsylvania we have less snow than you must get, but lots of hills...and from my discussions with some others who live further north, it seems that our road crews don't do that great a job (or don't have the same allocation of resources...we do run out of salt halfway through bad winters). I did read elsewhere on here that x drive can help a lot with the hills.
We have some Menonites and Amish further east of where I am. What I'd like to see is a pic of a Bimmer (maybe with angel eyes at dusk) patiently rolling behind a horse drawn carriage. That would be make for cool wallpaper...I guess. 3rd Bimmer, nice. This is my first one, if I live long enough to get to pick it up. It's replacing my Honda which has 184K on it. |

Got it!
It's here. Of course it snowed, so my car was clean for an entire 6 hours, but hey, I'm still happy.

Looks great, I also picked mine up on Friday night. Saturday morning I got up and just had to try my wheels from my E46 on it. They fit like a glove. We also had a lot of snow on Saturday, so now the snow tires are mounted. Hopefully the attched picture works. I'm not to sure how to post the pics.

OK in snow
Thank y'all! I figured out that I spend about 8% of my waking life in the car, so I think my life has just got MUCH better.
Not much snow today (fine with me...I'm still getting acquanted with my newfound handling and acceleration) I have all season run-flats and the x drive seems OK but I haven't had a challenge yet. BMWWhiz: That's a sweet ride. Your wheels look great. Needashower: I'll send em out tomorrow. I was excited and took pics last night, but the only thing you can see is the interior (beige leatherette/walnut burl), which is actually a bit more tan than the pic will look (the pic will look lemon). The only pic I took today was before driving to work with the phone, now the car's got salt n' stuff on it. I'm glad I added the chrome exhaust tips. |

No, those are my summers, I was just trying out the fit to make sure. They where off my 2000 328Ci. My winters are Blizzaks on 16" steel wheels and BMW hubcaps. Can't say I like the look of the winter wheels but I would hate the look of my car sitting in the ditch even more if I didn't have them.

I'm really curious to know how the 325xi with all-seasons handles typical driving in the snow. I know winter tires would be best... but one of the main reasons I'm going to order the xi is so I don't have to swap out tires twice a year. Anyone use the all-seasons...all seasons?

My car has been clean since I washed it last week but of course today it rained (and quite a bit too) so now it's absolutely disgusting.
