Tire size
I have a 2021 230 x drive vert. It has 225/40/18 pirelli run flats. I have experienced several blow outs after hitting small to medium chuckholes. Is it the fault of the tire brand or the size? Not much rubber between the wheel and the road. Would I be able to change size to 225/45/18 without a problem? I know the Pirelli’s are terrible run flats. Should I stay with the original size and just change brands or could I change size? No way to avoid chuck holes in Ohio.

A better choice may be a 235/40 18” A much closer diameter to the 225/40 versus 225/45
