BMW Fx M3 arms retrofit - is it worth it for an every day driver?

Ordered and paid for all the suspension refresh parts (Eibach pro-kit springs, Bilstein B4S shocks, top mounts, rubber bits, gaskets, some bolts etc) and about to start getting all the arms I'm needing into my Autodoc wish list too, ready to add to the basket etc

Keep reading about the upgrading of the front arms to the F80 M3 arms for F3x cars; question is, is it worth it for what is just an every day driver (my F31)?

What are the benefits, or is it just simply that bit more camber adjustment?

Anyone done this and thought it wasn't worth it etc?

Cheers

I do know that this must not be done on an X-drive as the driveshafts will fall out

No idea if any benefits but sounds like a bad idea, how will you align it properly with non-standard parts ?

IT doesn't make too much of a huge difference and from reading; the benefits are being able to get better alignment/camber etc rather than the OEM standard of hardly anything..

But more reading also leads me to believe that it's simply not worth it for every day driving; I won't be slamming the F31 on coilovers etc; so don't really need the aggressive adjustment capabilities etc

I didn't think they fitted in the F3x subframe? Spacers required or something?

The main benefit would be deleting the fluid filled bush. From memory, the F80 is only around a degree negative. F3x is half a degree, so I wouldn't fit them for camber reasons alone tbh!

Yeah; I'm not bothering. Sticking with TRW/Lemforder OEM

Yeah I would. Whilst the temptation is there to raid the F80 parts bin, one change necessitates another, so you can end up going down a rabbit hole!
