+1 i want to know too, i'm kinda disappointed in the lack of options for headlights for e92 (yes I'm fully aware of OSS and other similar custom headlights)

well i rode a while back here that the DTM headlight are custom made, and you can't pull this off with anything close to OEM in an e92. (don't remember the détails) but it would be very expensive.

Pretty sure there was a build thread, guy was pretty good at custom fab work, managed to put an x6 rear bumper on his 3 series, I believe he made a custom headlight which was modeled after those, used some molded plastic and led strips? Can't recall exactly.
But i digress, Just do the same thing as the rest of us and swap out the bulb to a color of your choosing! |

and the new ones are 1/2" too long in the front - how bad was the 1st set if these are better?

It would never work.
Look at how much of a brow is required to make the light work. The top half of the light lens would have to be cut off with a makeshift brow. It looks gd on the DTM Car as it is also very wide. It just wouldnt look right and all the internals of our existing headlights would have to be redessigned. It would be easier if a Chinese company came along and made a whole new headlight designed around these style DRLs. |
