Autologic remap.....
.....any one run one, and if so, what power figures have you got ?!
Can any one offer a comparison (first hand) between the autologic map and others ?? I don't mean several people telling me to go for the norm, evolve, e-maps ect.... As in an ideal world I'd have an evolve map, but, the price I can have this autologic map done for makes it's a very attractive buy Anyone Thanks Tom

Not sure I follow... Isn't Autologic just the name of the company that makes the hardware, which then uses BMW software?

ive done a few,
they seem quite reliable The figures are only estimates/near enough valuations, but the results are the same as a superchip type flash.

From memory I believe the power gains are quite conservative in comparison to other well known mappers. Personally speaking,I'd stick with some of the mappers you've mentioned if you want the power upgrade that's the norm,or if the Guy can do it for less than £300.00 and your happy, than off you go Tom |

Surely for it to be an attractive buy you'd need to know what results you get for your money.

I also thought autoligic was the software/hardware that specialist indy's used to replicate BMW systems. I got a software update and had to re-install my map after as it dissapeared.
I suppose an autologic computer-gizmo-thingy can load any map if you can get it in the right file format? |

Tbh, I've spoken with the place, he's gonna have a look at the adaption values and see what he can do, load a map, adjust it, then if I like what I have, I pay, if not, it goes back to standard and I pay nothing He will also be adjusting some of the coding too, just a couple of things I want adding and changing After speaking to him, I'm happy with his level of competence and doing alittle research on him he's has a good reputation, and is meticulous about his job too Qualities and traits I like As well as the remap, he will be adjusting the coding, so I don't have any egr light issues for when I add my egr delete pipe

I'm assuming the Guy has no dyno to give you the figures, but your buttometer should let you know either way. I had the wing mirror autofold from fob done as well as the LCI lights sorted on my last visit, looking to get the latest Nav updates shortly. Let us know how you get on,particularly the EGR delete, would it not be sensible to remove the EGR and then map? |

Ref my remap, I'll be swapping out the egr either tomorrow or Monday Then it's booked in Thursday for the remap Your correct, it'll be a buttdyno, but I also have a drift box too, so that'll also give mean indication of what's what The figures he will give an approximation of will be once he sees the adaptioon values currently I'll keep you posted ref the egr Tom

Ian, well....fitted my EGR blank, effortless and simple, as expected.
Done 60 miles or so, stretched my cars legs alittle .... First impressions, marginally quicker spool, seems alittle stronger midrange and has a crisper more constant feel to the power delivery top end too The shock so far, no engine management light. Although, I'm sure that'll pop up in due course haha Booked in for a remap on Thursday, so I'll see what that yields ! So far so good....

Ooh, that's interesting. I've blanked the EGR on previous cars with good results, but been put off on this one with reports of error messages.

Well, done 100 miles or so now, and had one cold start cycle, and still nothing negative to report
I have some driving about to do today, so I'll post back my findings later Tom

This is the installed item :
As you can see, the throttle body, vacuum pipe and exhaust feed pipe are all still connected and mounted securely Although the last two have no functionality any longer.
