What is the 1,000 Msport difference if it's not the Sensatech dash?

Definitely not the Sensatech dash. That has been standard and not part of the MSport package, for a number of years now and still is for MY22.

Why can I no longer get aluminum dark mesh with the M Sport package? Makes no sense, it's the sportiest trim option

Hm that's the trim I ordered with my M sport package, but when I go through the configurator now I see that you cannot get that trim unless you remove the M sport package.

I don't see my interior trim level when I view the car in My Garage too. Is there anyway to confirm this without calling? My car is still in "Awaiting Carrier Assignment" status.

No, the leather dash was not part of the MSport package.

As far as I know, there is no difference in package features, just a price reduction. It could have something to do with prerequisites, I have not checked those.

It seems like a bug with configurator. If you don't select M-Sports Package and select Dark Aluminum Trim and then go back and select M-Sports Package it goes through.

bummer on the B&W. another guy in the FB group picks up his 45e tomorrow ALSO with B&W. lucky!

yes, 'hands free' tailgate is the kick-to-open feature

Not all options are available on the M50i either, air suspension for example.

Same thing I was about to say lol. You lose the $7500 tax credit and it's $10K more expensive.

What pisses me off is that the X7 40i does get soft close doors and cooled cupholders but why they remove that from the X5. The 5 and X5 are not entry level models.

How come the chip shortage doesn't affect the DAP package which I'm sure requires ton of sensors and computing capability but they removed the kick-trunk feature which requires just one proximity sensor. Did they make marijuana legal in Germany?

I doubt BMW would decrease pricing almost 20% on one of the most popular packages for no reason.. I'll find out either way was just curious

I can only go by the information that BMW supplies. I guess they could be lying and not really giving you everything that they say they do but would imagine someone would have noticed by now.

picking up my '22 45e in 2 weeks. Can't wait to see what I don't have after reading this thread. Even though not as fully loaded as I wanted, it gives me the incentive to switch once the LCI happens.

The difference is not in the MSport Package but the prerequisites/combinations. For 2021 the Convenience Package was $1,050 as a stand-alone but $0 when ordering the MSport Package. That package does not exist for MY22.

Anytime. For completeness, for MY21 the Premium and Executive packages were reduced $1,050 when ordering the MSport Package.
