Sriracha

So, I got myself a pretty large bottle of that stuff. Pretty good. A little more heat than Tabasco, but a lot more flavor and substance. It's like a mix of Tabasco and Korean red pepper paste. Overall, I think this will be my new hot sauce, thanks to those who recommended it. I've had it before but not like this.

I made a peanut butter and sriracha sandwich.

and it's good! Try it!

Gross. You're Korean? Eat licorice and popcorn at the same time, now that tastes good!

It looks like that stuff's purpose is to just add heat. Heat is good, but I like something with flavor. I'll probably pick that stuff up sometime, just to taste for myself. Thanks.

You are right, it just adds the zing to the other flavours. I add it to most off the shelf foods and it makes them ........ YUM!

My current hot sauce fave is the el yucateco habanero (green) in the little bottle...its got great flavor and good heat. Alternatively, safeway has habanero in powder form...it adds heat without flavor. In your local asian stores you could look for ABC sambal (bottle with yellow cap)...they go great with cheeseburgers (especially whitecastles).

Sriracha is overrated. It's only used by the people who can't make pho good enough that they have to use sriracha to add some flavor to it. My mom used to cook pho all the time back in the golden ages - I'm sick of it.

Perhaps sriracha can fix durian. Get back to me on this, sir shim!

EDIT: What if they try making kimchi using sriracha?

Iunno, you probably could, but you use dry pepper powder, not paste/sauce.

And I can't stand durian. I like things that smell pleasant. Like my hair.

I used to go behind the girls I knew, smell their hair, and play with it. They said stop, but I knew they liked it.
