Interior Rattles / Noises
Hello
Anyone experience the following? 1) Windows creaking when rolled up (all 4 doors) 2) Rattle / creaking rear side panels (where the seatbelt rest on) - both left and right side. Dealer cleaned both window trim and leather side panels - but didn't correct the issue. 3) Random resistor type "click" noise coming from the passenger foot well area. Sounds like a relay click. |

Passenger side windows tends to be dry seals and most vehicles suffer from this from time to time https://www.bimmerfest.com/threads/w...riving.149633/

Thanks cukeuk. There were a lot of replies in that post you provided. I think I am even more confused, lol. BMW was telling me that there was an update to the rubber door seals (not for pillarless doors) ...go figure. All 4 doors creak non-stop, damn annoying. So, to sum it up, do not use lubricants with silicone, but rather tefflon...is what I got from it. The problem is, the creaking is coming from where the top of the window meets the rubber seal. There was an interesting post around the door window motors being a cause, but dunno. Will have to ask the dealer (again) at some point.

OK, I would suggest you rub some soap on the seals, I might be wrong but I think this will not harm the seals, and see if the creaking goes away...

There is a bridge somewhere. Something is stopping it from going up and down smoothly. If you are uncomfortable with that sound you should get it change completely.. Happened to me once..

My Sunroof creaks. I had it "repaired" twice at the dealer. The last time they changed the roller blind that goes under the roof. That noise disappeared for a while. It has now returned. Waiting for a courtesy car and it goes back in for another repair.
