inb4 Max takes both HAM and himself out to win the dirtiest WDC ever. Winning is winning, for him.

If MAX isn't leading the race with a comfortable margin, he will attempt to DNF HAM unless he can't get close enough. He doesn't believe he has anything to lose by doing so, even if he is DQ'd from the race he still keeps all his points. Unless I'm missing something, I can't think of any penalty that MAX can be given for purposely causing a DNF that would result in him NOT being considered the champion. He wouldn't care about boos or people calling him dirty, he thinks it's all "pure racing" and his fans support his actions.

Schumacher twice tried to win by doing this, one successful the other wasn't. For those that might not remember in the unsuccessful attempt Schumacher was REMOVED from the final standings as a result of what he tried to do.

So it Max DID do this to go on to win in this day and age I wouldn't be surprised if the FIA reached beyond the standard rules to do something similar. There is precedent.

Lets hope for everyone that doesn't happen as it would be bad for the sport as a whole if it did.

^ That's because he steered on purpose into JV at walking pace so was easy for even stewards then to report that as vexatious and the Adelaide one on Hill was also but the stewards there chickened out.

Don't underestimate Ham's ability to work around Max's aggression and lack of clean racing.

Several times we've seen Ham avoid collisions and come out on top. And even with a collision last race and damaging his front wing, he came out on top.

To say HAM has a knack for consistently avoiding race ending damage would be an understatement. Over the years I've never seen anything like it.

To add to, his race recoveries after minor damage, punctures, etc. And his ability to just simply drive around car damage that affects other drivers.

And... his ability to follow closely for extended periods of time, apparently unaffected in turbulent air. While somehow not really accelerating wear on his tires. HAM clearly does this better than any other driver on the grid by some margin.

HAM is next level. Has mastered the Merc and current formula.

If it weren't for a driving prodigy with kamikaze mindset, he'd be winning this WDC by 200 points, and these threads would be a lot more peaceful and boring.

Could not agree more. Max has resurrections powers too. I mean this board was like a ghost town after the Mexico GP. Look at all that were here at the beginning, went away, and are now back! The only one missing is MxSixer

Mercedes and Hamilton seemed a bit bored and off their game for most of this season. Like there were waiting for RB to fail. They have both woken up just in time. I just hope its a clean race, I have a feeling Max will DNF both of them especially if Hamilton has a quicker car.

Hamilton does have a knack for setting fast laps on worn out tires and broken wings. Worn out tires are one thing, but driving a car at the limit with mismatched Right to left aero balance is extremely difficult, especially in braking zones.

All the obnoxious BS we have all been reading on this board for the entire season was finally enough for everyone to finally return.

For me it got boring and it looked like Max was going to run away with it so there really wasn't much to talk about.

The Merc seems like it's the strongest car ever manufactured

I seem to remember VET trying to take HAM out several times during their championship battle. As well as I can remember, the clashes always ended up with a piled up Ferrari

When I saw the brake check last weekend I thought surely HAM would need a new wing, NOPE

But, VER was also lucky not to come away with a cut tire

I don't condone it but should VER or PER decide to take HAM out they better do it BIG. If not HAM will drive away to another WDC IMHO.

As I mentioned several races ago my money is still on HAM & MB

I don't buy MERC was waiting for RB to fail. They were and have been on pins and needles all year, as RB has been.

People went away like Minn19 acknowledged because they thought Max was going to run away with it.

Max is very aggressive but I do not think he will pull a Jerez Schumacher move as he knows it will likely result in a disqualification.

Then what about Senna/Prost off at '90 Fuji, why wasn't Senna DQ'd.

The cheating bendy front wing on the 12 is so elastic that you saw it just spring back into shape when he hit Max who was lucky not to get puncture from the end plate and continued as if nothing happened.

As long as HAM doesn't score a point why would Max care about being disqualified? He would be preparing to celebrate winning the championship unless the stewards handed down something worse than a disqualification.

If it was shown to be on purpose, part of the punishment would not only to be DQ'd from the race but the WDC as well. They did it to Schumacher vs Vill year, but it is a giant IF they'd do it again.

While being lapped, Kimi could "Accidentally" collect HAM whilst being distracted by his steering wheel

It happened to GIO & Kimi is retiring

Problem solved!!!

Likely the only way VER and RBR can salvage the disaster of the last 4 races.

Hamilton = John Wick chapter 1,2,3 ....!

Well, it saves me money...I bet either M5Rick or ///M Power-Belgium that HAM would win the WDC...If VER wins I have to buy an Orange Army VER baseball hat.

I'd rather loose the bet and buy the hat

i think redbull is going to be very aggressive here. both drivers will probably be instructed to do everything they can to stop lewis and not give him any room. They could really just have perez punt him off in the first corner and say that his brakes failed or he locked them up. verstappen would be free of blame.
