im 20. and no i drive 80-90 in every speed zone from 45-65. I've just never taken it over 50 in turns. Regular sedan meaning normal height, not normal performance. I've been driving for 4 years, and i've been driving bmw x5's; not so bad in the performance department either... Before ithe e90 fully bought and owned, i tested a TL, volvo s40 t5, and an audi 3.0. None of them could compare to the perormance of the 330, i could feel the handling and acceleration difference immediately.

But i believe you probably love your bmw more, if me asking a simple question offends you so easily. Dont worry though, my bmw is not in the wrong hands.

Well, it may be fast enough, but don't maintain any illusions about it being something exceptional. You wouldn't want to line up with a Toyota Avalon or even a new '07 Cadillac Escalade. You would be humbled to find out that they are equally as quick.

you've never gone around a corner over 50 MPH? how do you get on/off the damn freeway?

you can't say I corner at 50, all corners are different. some corners can be comfortably and safely taken at 120 MPH some can only be taken at 20 MPH.
even 90 degree corners are all different, how wide are the lanes??

Yeah well, that Avalon or Escalade better have a pretty damn short distance to go in order to prove something. Anything past 60 (which I believe comes up in about 6 seconds in a 330) and you can kiss those cars good-bye. They will not be gaining much after that.

Very true. Give me enough room on the outside and I'll be more than happy to take 90 degree bend at 50 mph+.

Lots of cars go fast quickly, but what's nice about our E90s is the ease with which it does so with confident handling and minimal fanfare.

I only did the 2-hour driving school that came with my BMW Performance Center delivery package. And yes, it made a world of difference in my confidence level when I'm driving. I've evaded some close calls out on the road since and many of my friends are impressed at how I can handle not only my car but other (non-BMW) cars too.

I'm going back July 5th for the Two-day Driving School though. It's $895 (or $845?) and I know it's going to be completely worth it!

Exactly! Although, the first part "Lots of cars go fast quickly..." isn't going to matter once the M3 Sedan comes out. Very few cars can go 0-60 in under 5 seconds.

And only one car can go 0-60 in 2.5 seconds --- the M3 Sedan!!! Hah, I wish. But that title is given to the Bugatti Veyron.

i didnt mean never over 50 on a turn, i mean never over 50 on a 90 degree turn on local streets, not exit ramps.

Wow, uhaulball went from the thinking of "anything over 50MPH in a 90 degree turn would flip the car" to, hey I take 50MPH 90 degree turns all the time --- can't touch dis' --- in just 12 hours.

Hell, he probably does 155MPH on the exit ramps.

OK. Just broke my record. I just did 115MPH on the mile long street right near my house. Might try for 120MPH later tonight. Then 125MPH tomorrow. I seriously doubt 130MPH would be possible --- that is unless I had someone up by the 4-way stop sign and made sure no one was there, then I could go through it and stop on the other side. Haha. Probably too dangerous to do that though.

yeah, Ward, it was a 2 lane road (2 lanes each way) that my friend did the 90 degree turn, so there were still some manuveuring allowed, still I'm still too hesitant to do that in my brand new car haha, and I give him props for doing that turn.

I hit 1200 miles this afternoon! Suffice it to say I've been having some fun since. It's barely tolerable when you get stuck behind a slow poke.

I know x10! Some people just need to get a life. Seriously, on a daily basis I get stuck behind someone at a light, the light turns green and then they accelerate to 40MPH in about 20 seconds. I feel like I could run faster. Finally, when the lane next to me opens I change lanes and then blow by the person next to me. Really bugs me sometimes.
