I'd totally be down for good dampeners on H&R Super Sport. No bounciness and decent handling = win.

Nice find...it shows $182.99 for the B6. I found another place and still looking to see if any less elsewhere.

http://buddyclubwholesale.com/bilste...i-1737836.aspx. These are approx $20 per shock less for the rear.

then i googled the part number listed on the bilstein site, and found a company shipping to the US who has it, here's the link. It says it is for the "canadian" f30s, but im sure that it will work for the the US as well

http://efficienttruckperformance.com...-absorber.html

so seems like you can get the shocks front/ rear for $880 shipped, plus about $200 for the springs, and for $1080 get an awesome spring / shock combination. I think i will pull the trigger on the b8 shocks w/ h&r springs in near future.

I don't really get it though. You can get the B14 for $1000 and that will be even better and adjustable in height. What would be the upside of getting the H&R springs with the Bilstein shocks?

Oh wow... you are right. for me personally adjust-ability isn't really necessary at all. just a nice setup thats comfortable and improved handling for a good price, but for 960 this might be a good way to go!

I have the B14's on my car. The handling is improved a lot, it is like night and day compared to before. But I wouldn't call it comfortable... I do have 20" wheels though (with very low profile tires 30 front, 25 rear). I'll have to see how rough the ride is with the 19" winters in a few months.

I don't know how the B8 shocks are though, are they replacements for stock like performance or are they more race oriented like their complete coilovers?
Maybe the B8 + H&R springs are the better option for comfort?

How much did the B14's drop your car and how much adjustability is there? I'm interested in a small drop but nothing like the H&R Super Sports. That's too much. The H&R sports are about the max drop I could tolerate.

I know the b8s were specifically designed to be used with lowering springs. My personal experience with bilstein shocks is that they are quite comfortable, not too sure if i had b6 or b8 on my old car, but the b6 is more appropriate if stock springs are used.

And def, your wheel setup must impact the ride as well, so its hard to point directly to the suspension as the main culprit.

B16 PSS10 info http://bilstein.suspensiondirect.co....3_179_1160.jsp

B14 info http://bilstein.suspensiondirect.co....3_179_1160.jsp

Other shock info: http://bilstein.suspensiondirect.co....s_F30-335i.jsp

So why wouldn't you want to grey market. What fitment might be different? Although these do list the same part numbers are showing fitment the same as E90 and that really shouldn't be.

The Bilstein US site shows these as the correct part numbers
http://cart.bilsteinus.com/product/47-217522/391367/RWD - B14
http://cart.bilsteinus.com/product/48-217170/391367/RWD - B16 PSS10

So confusing.

I'd go by the bilstein website for the correct numbers. Seems like the b14 is definitely 47-217522 for our cars.

I would say that at the moment my height is somewhere in between the two. You could go lower than the Super Sports if you want or as "high" as the Sports if you want too. I never tried but looking at the specifications you can go even higher than the Sport springs, and by looking at the amount of thread left to adjust I have no reason to think otherwise.

I'm thinking about changing to the B16 comfort instead. They are rated at 10-30mm and have stock like comfort too.

For sure, I have a tire (Pirelli P Zero Nero) that is known to have bad comfort too. On 19" wheels with 35+ profile tires I don't think it will be anywhere near as "bad".

Is comfort the only difference between B14 and B16? What about adjustability?

There are a lot of differences between B14 (only height adjustable) and B16 (fully adjustable).

Read more on Bilsteins homepage, http://www.bilstein.de/en/products/s.../bilstein-b14/

But I was talking about the specific comfort edition of B16. It gives you stock like comfort but "only" offers 10-30mm adjustability.

What would be a good choice of Bilsteins for standard suspension/springs (S225)A?

I have a 2013 328i xdrive. I have my h&r supersports sitting at home. I refuse to install them without bilsten struts/shocks. Maybe in 2014 bilstein will release a set?
