iPod Out Functionality

Hey all,

I will be trading up to a new M3 in the next couple months from my current 2011 335i. One feature I am not certain about is the iPhone/iPod integration. In my 2011 with the Combox I have been using an iPhone 4/4s Media snap in adapter with an old iPhone 4 set up as a media device. This has allowed me to utilize the Apple "iPod Out" feature available in this device. It allows me to have the Apple control display on the iDrive screen which is much more user friendly than the BMW system in my opinion.

My question is, will the new M3 function similarly? I assume I could take my current snap-in adapter and plug it in to the dock in the M3 (unless they changed the interface too).

Anyone know?

For reference, here is what the iPod Out interface looks like:

iPod Out is not supported in the NBT iDrive.

Ap-cray!

Hopefully they improved the music interface then.
