Turning off car - two start/stop presses?

I apologize again for the stupid question...

when you turn off the car, do you just press the start/stop button once or twice? it seems like i need to press it once to turn off engine, and press it again to turn off idrive. is this how it is or is this a setting i'm missing? TIA

...but if I'm on a phone call and leave the car, I switch to handset... the car shuts off, but everything else in the car stays on when I lock and walk away... until I end my phone call. Weird...

Yea but if you walk far enough that the bluetooth connection is cut it should turn off by itself later.
