That is awful! I can't imagine how pissed/devestated I'd be if that happened to me. The good news is that it looks like the damage is superficial so it won't impact the driving dynamics of your e90. Hopefully, after insurance flips the bill, you won't be able to tell the difference.

I always wonder if/when that may happen to me. So far only simple things like having the chrome bolt covers removed from my license plate frame have occurred.
The girl next door just had her e36 broken into and her laptop stolen out of the trunk. |

and dont give up yet. you can be vigilant and try to see if vehicles that are frequent in the area have scratches that has the same height as the ones in your car. im sure that your paint chips are still in that vehicle's surface. probably would still be visible based on the marks made on your car. hope things work out for you! |

Oh no! What a nightmare!! I feel so bad for you man. That is so unfair! Some people really are just completely criminal. Man I hope something happens to the idiot who did that. I am pretty sure he isn't too happy with his life to go around doing things like that to others.
That sucks. I hope they fix it up as good as new. It's too bad that things like this happen to cool people. EDIT: I see he must have freaked out to have hit such a nice car, but to be as low as to not leave contact information or anything is just straight-up criminal.

People have absolutely no respect. I had a giant scratch on my car on the weekend... LUCKILY it polished out.
I feel your fury. I would probably go postal on someone, but luckily - i don't keep any weapons near my car. |

Damn dude. That makes me sick. did you file a police report? My guess is some asswipe in a pickup truck or van, and probably an older one that they don't give a shit about. No car could get the door handle and the lower door area like that.
I agree with your assessment of people though. Hopefully their whole family will get stomach cancer and the driver will die last - after watching his entire family die first. Best of luck bro.

Let's focus on the positives here. At least the backseat isn't damaged.

Try to figure out what color car hit you. They should have left some of their paint on your car and even other pieces from their car (sorta like DNA). That way you can at least narrow it down a little. Chances are it's someone that lives on your street or drives by there every day. That happened to my brother's car twice right in front of the house, once in broad daylight but nobody saw anything. The first time, as we were picking up the pieces that were scattered all over the street, we came across a piece of chrome that was from the other car. I took a walk up the street the next day and found the car that it belonged to 3 houses away. We then paid him a visit and after he saw the impending beat down that he was about to receive, he confessed.
