I have a 2017 m240 and recently been in a accident. also around the same time ordered some bay optics headlights for a xenox retrofit thst comes with a harness and fuse

i took it took a shop that my friends dad works at so that he could also just put the headlights on because the old ines got crushed from the front end accident i was in and they had a bmw tech look at it.

He said alot of the times bmw tend to fry the body harness when u put aftermsrket headlights on

my question is shouldnt the fuse prevent this? and bayoptics being a very known and used brand ive also never heard of this.

Wondering if anyone has some insight on this before i tell then to go ahead and do it
