... on Friday. Does anyone know how long the average delivery time is ?

What have been your experiences ?

I ordered the car 3 weeks ago and my dealership said 7 weeks to delivery.

after production is complete, then should be between 5-7 weeks. They will be the longest weeks of your life! Just stay with us and we'll help you cope with it. What is the interior combo/colors?

Tell me about it. I ordered my second E90 and its taken forever "in production" ( all last week). I ordered the first one on May 14 2005 and by June 13 I was driving the car.
This time around I ordered the car on the 18th and 10 days after, the status still shows "in production." I would have figured that production and delivery would be faster than before.

yeah, now it's going to take a few days to actually go into production. once there, it will take about a week to finish production, then it needs to be transported to the port, wait there in line before you get on a ship, go through PDC, transport to your dealer, dealer needs to prep it and then you get the phone call.

in short, you still have a lot of waiting ahead...

but 7-8 weeks is pretty much accurate, i got mine in 7 and was told 6 weeks when i ordered.

Ordered my new 330xi on Tuesday 2/21 and it is scheduled to complete production by 3/3 - that was much quicker than prior or than I thought.
Although I have almost 8 weeks until my current lease runs out, I'd take the new car tomorrow. Tracking is fun but the weeks seem so long.

You are now between 5-6 weeks out since you are in NY (not as much transport time once you reach Port NEAT).

I ordered my car 2/16. Got my production # 2/17. My car arrived at the port to be shipped from yesterday (3/1) from what people on this board say. I still have 4-5 weeks to go, which I dont like hearing!!!

Mine was a bit quicker, and to Arizona too, which comes in via Port Hueneme and is a longer journey than for you easterners/southerners. My car finished production on 1/10 and I took delivery on 2/13. Good thing that went fairly quickly, as I actually placed the order on 10/29/05! The dealer had sold all their incoming allocations for November AND December and I got pushed into January production,. But now I'm hooked up and I'm a happy camper.

I was "scheduled for production" for about a week, called the # today and it's complete, waiting for transport!!!! I guess it never made it to "in production". Is this normal?

The following are the scheduled vessels from Bremerhaven to SC via Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics.
My status continues to be awaiting transport.

Our cars may not even be trasported by Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics so the fact that the next vessel leaves on the 13th doesn't really mean that our cars will have to wait until then to get transported. Other threads show other vessels transporting cars to SC.

Ok I got a better way to find out what are the possible vessels our cars may be in.

From the port of Charleston website the following are the vehicle vessels arriving in the second half of the month:

3 INGOLSTADT
CAROLINA SHIPPING AND 584 3/19/2006 Discharge: VEH
Load: VEH 3 LIBERTY
WALLENIUS AND WALLENIUS WILHELMSEN 652 3/19/2006 Discharge: VEH
Load: VEH 3 BOHEME

That's all! We could find out if our cars get on any of the vessels from W&W by using the auto cargo tracking but can someone find out where on earth is the Ingolstadt and if it did go to Bremerhaven and when it leaves/left ?

Today is the 7th. If a ship takes takes between 15 and 20 days to get to SC then our cars may still get there this month.

Come on guys/gals....get to work!

Times vary, and while I was told it would take 6-8 weeks, mine went from time of order to dealer delivery in 38 days...a little over 5 weeks.

Well, Sales person wrote me an email and confirmed my car is on the water. I wrote to him back saying " I hoped my car was on the Ingolstadt and he said "you are correct sir". Call your sales person Vikz. Yours might be on "my"

boat too!!!!

I had to do it..i called him again, and yes !!! I AM ON THE INGLESTADT (sp) due to arrive in Charleston 3/22 he said I could have it before months end!!!!! thank you!!

Alright. We got on the fastest ship! Others from W&W take longer from Germany to Charleston. That ship looks like a Lego square on the water.
