Where is it now? Mine just entered production yesterday and I'm just obsessing about it every minute of the day.

It's in one of the black holes, VPC. No estimated delivery date or when it's going to released to the trucking company.

I don't think it's going to be that quick. Mine showed LINER RELEASE on Monday 6/16, but still not processed through VPC as of today.

Mine is at my dealer, but I can't pick it up until saturday... 4 months to the day I ordered it.

Is it Saturday yet?

Also my car missed its scheduled ship date from vpc, then randomly arrived at my dealer 4 days before it was supposed to leave vpc. So I hope you get the same surprise I got, and soon

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if it stays too long at the VPC, that could indicate damage during shipping that they are trying to fix.

BMW's inability to track their own shit at their own facility is really mind blowing.

I hope that my dealer is dead on with giving it to me as scheduled on 6/23 this up coming Monday.

The delivery center here in California goes through so many freaking cars, it is suprising they get cars out at all. I took a tour a few years back. They average about 300 cars processed A DAY with peak days at 5-600, where they'll have to pull in temp employees to help out. Otherwise, they have a grand total of 8 people employed by BMW, with 40 or so subcontractors.

THAT is mind blowing. You'll get your car, dude. So relax. They are probably more concerned about making sure your car is processed and handled properly than updating logs for you.

IT definitely is mind blowing, you know why? BMW can afford more employees and chooses not to do so to save money or whatever. In addition, updating the logs isn't for me, it's a part of the modern logistics. The fact that their own tracking system can't see where the car is shows how messy this process is, which is worth complaining about. Keeping track of your product is not for the benefit of the customers, it streamlines part of the operations and could potentially save them more money. Again, I'm not telling them what to do or what not to do. I never said this thread was rational debate. You don't think I know they go through a lot of car a day and are very busy at VPC? This is a ranting thread, DUDE!

looks backwards, should be discharged-customs release-delivered from-liner release, then it enters customs clearance for the car itself, then VPC, trucking company, and finally dealership.

i've found these logs to be extremely misleading - all of us on the TITANIA had the exact same time/date of processing, but the actual delivery/status of our cars has varied tremendously - e.g., someone in Kansas got his days after port arrival, whereas I'm still waiting for mine in Virginia (we ported in Baltimore). damage, post-arrival installs, etc., could cause the variation, but who knows.

agree we need more transparency on the process...it's inexcusable for $40K + cars...
