free maintainance upgrade
the latest news from my dealer is if you take delivery before june 30, in addition to scheduled maintenance, you get a service upgrade that includes full maintainace, ie brake pads, wipers, clutch etc. for 3 years/60,000kms. Only applies to 1 series coupes, and only thru lease and finance. Better then nothing, but dosen't the US get this for 4 years on all bmws ?

I guess we'll just have to try and milk it. I'm going in for new wipers every 3 months.

ALL Canadian 2008 BMWs have 4/80 Warranty and 4/80 no-charge scheduled maintenance. Get the "Full Line Brochure" from your local BMW dealer. Read pages 48, 49, 50, 51 for confirmation... |

Yes but the Canadian scheduled maintenance is not as comprehensive as the US. It does not include brake pads & wiper blades. So maybe they are giving us the US program for 3 years instead of the usual limited program for 4 years?

I don't know if it is worth anything or not, I hope I won't need a clutch in the first 3 years.

not sure what the value of the service package is, however it may be worth it to sign up for their financing and then pay it out after one month. According to BMW.ca there is no penalty for early termination of the finance contract....

But the cost of financing a $45K loan for one month probably equals the value of the "free" services contract...:iono: |
