The Australia tax will be high on this one. For furriners, the Australia tax is basically the doubling of MRSP for luxury vehicles, combination of taxes and ...because they fucking can.

So today I thought I'd take some photos of the underside/engine and I was quite surprised to see the reinforcements added..
I also had the first proper drive today. In sports mode I could feel the car pulling me into the corners. I don't know what bmw have done with the electronics but I could push harder in sport mode than sports plus mode. Last edited by knali8; 02-13-2020 at 05:39 AM.. |

Its the brake assisted cornering, my old focus ST had it and it made a sizeable difference, but in the end when you are really pushing it, you can feel the artificialness of it working, on track it would overheat my brakes and accelerated brake wear, also caused me to be inconsistent since it never behaved 100% exactly the same through the same corner. In the end I just turned it off and drove with no aids, it did affect the overall apex speed slightly, but the consistency and assurance that the electronics weren't intervening made it much more enjoyable as I could start trusting the car more and made the car much more lively.

knali8 your M135i looks good in Red, it wasn't a colour I considered when i bought mine but that was because I hadn't seen one before.
In some pictures it almost looks like a chrome red wrap, really stands out

Great choice, I was torn between MR and SB but as I was keeping the cloth interior felt I needed a blue exterior.
Enjoy!

Thanks mate and congrats on your m135i xdrive. Question.. does your car pop and burpe while changing gears? Above 3k revs?

I've not collected yet, a few weeks away yet with a few modifications as soon as it hits the dealer.

For the first few days I was always in sport mode and I averaged 19 mpg. Now I drive mostly in comfort mode (after discovering that I can unplug my exhaust valve connector and have a louder exhaust always 👌 and I'm getting better mileage. On the freeway I was averaging 44mpg. |

The m135i is so much more lively, can't get enough of it. No regrets. Maybe take it for a test drive if you haven't done so |

I have no issues at all with the seats on 2hr + journeys. My wife complains after two hrs because we didn't get the lumbar support option. My previous f30 had it and it was great!
If you can option this for long journeys. The car is also really quiet due to the insulation. |
