Agreed - it blows my mind why there isn't an all black option.

I bet 98% of M2C would be ordered with all black.

To all those living in and around Toronto, Canada. I'm having a professional leather refinisher dye the blue perforations back to black (excluding the stitching of course). He does incredible quality work and the final result will look flawless, so if anyone dislikes the blue (or orange) perforations, PM me and we can do a 'group buy'. Be advised he requires the seats be removed from the vehicle.

For a cold start S55 that sounds incredibly good. I am extremely happy, TBH.

For reference: I have a 2015 F80 / Also owned a 2017 M2.

Was just going to say the same thing - it's particularly WORSE when revved and cold.

I know I'd spec mine with black seats when I get round to it But unfortunately they don't exist so have to go with the blue instead.

Funny, but I don't think it's doable. Dakota Leather has a protective film coating over the leather that won't allow the leather to absorb dye. I'm fairly certain I'm going with orange simply because the center areas don't look as bad. I'm not sure if orange is the best color to match all the M stitching on the seat belts and steering wheel, but it seems to be the lesser of two evils. The 1M also had orange stitching so I find that as a nice nod to it as well.

This is exactly why I went with orange too. I like both orange and blue stitching but blue inserts/center parts look horrendous IMO.

Nice, thanks for posting. I'm looking forward to seeing HS in person - seems like the color is quite a chameleon!

Oh it will work - I have used the leather touch-up/repair pens on BMW leather before. They work great, and they are essentially a colored sharpie.

I think I will remove the blue from the seat base. The base alone is fine with me.

That's a ballsy move, but if you're able to pull it off I may have regrets not getting blue. In all honesty I'm still waiting to see more pics to make a final decision, but I'm a tentative orange for now.

You know how you have those PS color threads, maybe you should make one with the centers all black.

You guys are so selling me on getting HS! I didn't want a white or whitish car, but if it's silver with undertone of grey I think it will look great with the all black accents or the grille, side gills, shadow trim, exhaust tips and the wheels must be in black on HS IMO.

Prefect! Minus the alcantara fabric on the side of the seats also; it's going to look crap after a couple of years and you can't just replace it for cheap, like you can with the manual shift boot..

It‘s light gray with a slight touch of silver. But its definitely not white.

With that being said...my F80 has the SO interior, and I was really not sure if I would be able to "take it" all the time...but I honestly don't notice it too much now, and I think it's because I have just gotten used to it.

The blue or orange inserts will be the same IMO, and on an even smaller scale. You really will only see them when you get in the car, because then your backside is resting on them.

I almost see these inserts as another small visual cue for differentiating the M2C from the OG M2 - only the trained eye will notice, and even then I don't think it's going to be that big of a deal.

Hopefully my opinion doesn't change after seeing them in real life...

Can't take the blue centers. It's like seeing someone with blue jeans also wearing a blue jean jacket. It's just too much. Still personally leaning towards orange, but if the centers were all black I'd definitely go with blue.

Talking too much denim, you forgot Justin Timberlake's denim hat from 2001
