Orange Reflector Delete
Spoke with Bimmian, they anticipate having color-matched painted replacements in stock in a couple of months. Just an FYI for anyone looking to go for a more EU look. Combine that with the Solaris bulbs and the front end will look a lot cleaner, IMO.

Good to hear about the painted reflector replacement. Other than a tint, that's probably the only thing I plan on doing to my car to get that cleaner look. |

You should probably throw $20 at the turn signal bulbs too, the Solaris ones (also from Bimmian) are silver but light up amber. Without the reflectors I think those will look even more out of place.

Good point. I didn't even think of that. As long as they aren't as ridiculously impossible to replace as the angel eye bulbs for my E90, I'll definitely do them.

It looks pretty easy from the closeup photos I have seen of the light assembly, but who knows. Probably going to have them shipped straight to dealer and installed before delivery, will take them 2 seconds as opposed to me figuring it out. Bulbs are already available and will do those even if reflectors aren't out for a while.

Hello gents!
We have most colors in stock and ready to ship. The pricing is indeed $85.00, but if a few of you are willing to take photos we would be more than happy to work out a forum member price. Shoot me a private message if you are interested. Colors not in stock are Glacier Silver and Mineral White All reflectors are painted in-house at our facility and use the OEM core as a base for perfect fitment. Bimmian uses an aftermarket mold of the reflector and can be prone to fitment issues. We also offer a color match guarantee on all colors, but Mineral White. 3 stage paints are impossible to match 100% without having the vehicle in-house however, for those with Mineral White we can still get it in the 95% range. Just checked the owners manual, looks like changing the turn signals to the solaris ones is a 5-minute DIY easy deal. Page 183 for those interested.

The reflectors I am not sure, I guess it would fall along the same lines as tinted tail lamps and whatnot. If you're that concerned I'd just stop by your local precinct and ask them. |

I was on the phone for half an hour yesterday getting this sorted out, but apparently the Solaris or Stealth bulbs we need are the 1156 / P21W bulbs. You can get either the 150 degree offset which is the same as factory or the 180 degree offset which, if I understand correctly, doesn't stick out quite as far into the headlamp assembly. Stealth $30 is made in US, Solaris $20 APAC but both have lifetime warranty.

What color do you have? Happy with final result? Getting a Euro bumper would obviously eliminate the painted panel entirely but we are talking a ton of money vs $85 that will look virtually identical from 5' away from what I can surmise.

Great to hear. I didn't mean that the product wasn't high quality / OEM parts etc. Just compared to what I am guessing would be many thousands of dollars to replace the front end with the Euro one that has no reflectors to begin with, it's the bargain of the century since it's literally pennies on the dollar.

Raj, the reflectors (or lack of them) look great. What's the easiest way to remove the stock reflectors? Last time I did it, it was a PIA.
Are your side mirror caps CF or painted black? |
