Alfa Guilia QV
I saw one in a car park the other day. Never really noticed them before.
Never owned an Alfa but always thought I should. 500hp in a four door pretty saloon seems to tick the boxes! I've started looking at them on AT! |

I'd take one over an M3 any day - even if theoretically not as good, just got the character that makes them special.

What is they say? You're not a true petrolhead until you've been ruined by an Alfa.....
Had a 156 GTA back in the day, went like stink, handled beautifully and broke down on an almost weekly basis - largely because it was built out of spaghetti by Fiat.... I'm sure they're 'much' better these days. Definitely. That said, I agree there's just something intangible and wonderful about the QV Cloverleaf. You buy with your heart, even if your head is screaming "don't do it!!!" Damn your eyes, I'm off to look at AT now |

The chap who was demoing this one lives on my estate and I'd walk past it once or twice a week... stunning! He now has a grey one that just doesnt look as good!
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-det...o=2024&fromsra But I might take this one on the balance of miles, owners, colour, and the fact it flies under the radar a bit more... https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-det...o=2024&fromsra |

And yes the green. Not a massive fan of the red (sorry @pond) so that would be way down the list for me...although the driver of the green one had a red one previously... Green with tan inside please. |

I agree excellent looking and performing cars.
I had an Alfa Brera V6 and although it wasn't very fast it was lovely. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another and the Giulia is on the list for the future. Awesome cars, Ferrari v12 chopped in half and twin turbo'd |

There was an early M340iT on here that was green with tan interior and gold wheels, loved that (apart from the wheels, a bit bling for me). That green is stunning in person, really does make you stop and look.... |

Mine was dark grey and red - wrong way round for Pond though!
Colleague at work had a 156 24v in black and tan... commuted weekly from Launceston to Derby, so it got a few miles on! I def preferred the Scooby WRX grey import back in those days, my tastes matured later! Given I had a 7 seater people carrier we often swapped cars to help them out, my wife always knew when I was coming in the Scooby, she could hear it from about 3 miles away! The 156 met a sad end - caught in a flood! Sold for parts (ex engine!) at just under 3 years and 80k miles.... The grey import scooby was swapped for an official UK one with a Prodrive Performance Pack on (that HO never knew about, we lost that in opex!) Just like music, cars can take you back (and yes I am watching some old ToTP tonight!) |

Would I be brave enough to own one? Nope. If money was no object would I like to scratch the Alfa itch? Most definitely! In a world where the vast majority of cars lack a soul now, Alfa’s very much still do. Lovely things.

I've been a passenger in one.
Things I noted: - Good engine performance. - Really good sound. - Excellent ride quality (!!) It was a brief ride on known roads, but was impressive nonetheless.

I had an Alfa GT from new for three years and it was faultless, only a boot light bulb needed replaced. Not the greatest handling car but I loved it.
My last trip to Scotland a Guilia QV came past me on a passing lane on full bore and it sounded fantastic! I really like the Guilia but I need a hatchback or estate for my needs |
