If a forum for car enthusiasts is this insanely prejudiced about the things we are meant to all love, I wonder what a non-enthusiast forum is like.
You're not wrong there, MB. I've just returned to the forum after a three year absence and not a lot has changed. As the saying goes, haters gonna hate - and trolls gonna troll 🥴

Good to see you back TL, fellow member of the F36 440i club back in the day! Still enjoy the sight of one, especially in carbon black.

Mate can’t insure his 2019 Sport, was well over 100k list with options, paid around 90k, and he’s getting quotes from the likes of Motorway to punt it in of just over 20k

I'd say get it bought for that money.

Well over £100k new in 2019 would mean its an Autobiography with a few options and its worth a lot more than £20k unless its done well in excess of 100k miles.

So I call custard! what's the Reg?

At these prices I'm wondering if buying 2, one for use while the other is in the garage may just be justified.

Not sure on the reg, he doesn't live in London, he lives in the stix somewhere near Stafford, but there have been a few thefts in his area. JLR won't insure him and the only one he could find quoted 2k, but then when he went to accept and confirm everything they said they couldn't do it for 2k, it would be 6.6k! £600 odd quid a month - mad.

I'm more interested in the value of the car you have said, because thats not right for the car you have portrayed.

Mines a 2019 Autobiography Dynamic, its got 52k miles, good spec and WBAC price is £33k and private sale price is over £40k.

He has a 2019 RR Sport HSE SDV6 with a hefty spec and on 75k miles. He said the dealer who serviced it said it was around 115k with all the options.

He's now gone to Carwow instead of Motorway and they have it set at a reserve price of £25k.

A £115k HSE, nope thats a £75k car tops with options. I think £25k is about right.

Was HSE not the base model in the UK? would assume its some flavour of the HSE Dynamic perhaps in that case?
