Insurance and aftermarket coverage, if any?

Anyone have information on how to add coverage, if possible, to aftermarket parts?

In my case... I picked up a used akra exhaust about a year ago and just got into a minor accident this morning. Looks like the left muffler might need to be replaced... the tips for sure. Doubt AAA will cover the cost of an akra muffler, but any insight on what to do now... or going forward?

Perhaps I can swing an M-performance muffler (car is at a BMW Collision Center) since it's basically the same, right?!? Pop on some new akra tips and call it a day?

Talk with your insurance broker. I did this years ago when I added expensive wheels, parts to my auto policy with a previous car...paid a little extra; some sort of add-on rider. It was through mercury.
