Beautiful! I love to see BMWs and (dare I say) Audis in the snow.

Add a ski rack and it's two thumbs up.

Hey Nikki,

I love the wallpapers your making with the shots. Could you make one of the shot looking through the trees as a Christmas card like the sig? I will send it out as my Christmas card this year.

Nice car and pics, but it is getting me depressed that that snow is going to be here soon.

What i want to see is a 335i E92 playing in the snow w/ Blizzacks lol... Only to help me make up my mind on if i want the 328ix or spent a bit more and just get a 335i.

In my E36 325is i was in some pretty insane snow last winter w/ some Blizzacks and the car worked fine. This included going UP and off ramp that had not been plowed after approx. 12" of snowfall... It wasn't even slush yet lol, and I made 'er. Took a bit of a run tho :P

How big is the difference between and xi and an i in the snow? Is it worth it? Thanks

From my experience, I have had no problems getting up my steep driveway in snow and ice with my 325xi E90 and before that my 325xi E46 (both with factory all seasons). I have never owned a non-xi BMW, but I have a FWD work car with all-seasons (not snow tires) that could not make it up my driveway in the same conditions. Just my two cents, maybe there is someone who has both an i and an xi that can help you better.

I used an E46 325i for 40,000kms in winter of 2005 (not far from Ottawa). Now that was an insane winter, it never seemed to stop.

Last winter was more about freezing and thawing, freezing and thawing.

Put it this way. Both i and xi work fine with good snow tires. It's just that with the xi I don't even think twice about heading out for milk or whatever in a snowstorm whereas with the i I would probably make do and get it the next day. The xi is FUN to drive in bad weather, the i you're on the edge at times.
