M340i XDrive Worth Ordering?

BMW promotion going on right now where I can custom order a M340i but it can only include the items listed below… Is this worth the $54,390 price tag (tax free)?…, I also have a $8926 credit with the dealership toward any car so about $45,000 for a brand new one.

“Promo price is just $53,990 ($54,390 with delivery) and includes;
Driving Assistance Professional Package
Shadowline Package
Parking Assistance Package
Premium Package
Metallic Paint
19inch Alloy Rims
Harman Kardon Premium Sound
Power Tailgate
Drive Recorder
Heads UP Display
Navigation
Surround Cameras
Self-Parking
Remote Start
M-Sports Brakes
M-Shadow Lights
Heated Front Seats and Steering Wheel
Active Driving Assistant Pro with Stop-Go Cruise Control—-amazing feature!”

Just sad that I cannot get M adaptive suspension… should that be a deal breaker?

If you’re in the US the sticker for an X-drive spec’d like that is around $65k-$66k, yeah? I’d say a sale price of $56k is a great deal. I wouldn’t worry about adaptive suspension at that point personally.

What promotion are you referring to? And why is the dealership saying it has to be spec’d exactly like that?

I have adaptive and expect to replace it with coilovers soon. So it really depends on how you plan on modding the car

Sounds like a great deal

That is a great deal!! Sounds a lot like my car and price…I didn’t receive driver assistant pro but instead got tanzanite paint, adaptive suspension, and vernasca leather with blue stitching

I am stationed out in Germany, and not sure just the spring sale promotion that is going on right now. I’ll get more details next week.

Thank you for this! I LOVE the tanzanite blue paint… but I am a sucker for the mineral white, I love me a white car.

I purchased out there as well. I figured that’s why 😁

I purchased from the Euler group. Sandy is the best! She’ll take care of you. But Euler’s main location was underwhelming with the sales staff.

In that regard I prefer Bavarian motors. Same deals either way though unless it’s been sitting a while. They had about $18K off mini vehicles at one point while I was over there. There’s some steals for sure if you don’t have an exact spec you want.

Tanzanite was NOT what I wanted…until I saw it in the sunlight. 😎

I say get it. Sounds like an excellent deal. I don't have the adaptive suspension and it is not so bad. Living here in NYC we have some seriously bad roads and the car handles it well. BTW I am biased towards Tanzanite. It is stunning but it is a labour of love to keep clean. Alpine white is nice but let's face it. It is a rent a car color - lol. Just messing with you.

Lol. Thank you. Pics of both are posted on the forum. Honestly get the color you love. You don"t want any regrets. The proof will be when you park it and walk away, you turn around and look back at it then smile. Keep us posted on what you get and post pics. ______________________________

The only 2 things to be attentive in the build are the wheel and tire selection there is like 18" tires and 19" along with 792M, 791M, design with Runflat and non-runflats (Michelin Pilot Sport 4s) - refer to the BMWUsA configurator.

Also the adaptive M suspension for adjust-ability of dampeners.

Sadly with this promotion I cannot add or subtract any options. So no adative M suspension.

You are in Dallas. You don’t need xDrive. BMWs are designed to be rwd cars. Get RWD. I owned an xDrive M340i without the adaptive suspension and I would not do that again. This is the first time a 3er has had the sport suspension available in conjunction with xDrive and my theory is the xDrive/static 704 sport suspension don’t work well together. I think xDrive makes the suspension too harsh. I can’t say this with absolute certainty. It’s just my theory. I have owned four 3ers, an E46, E90, and two F30s that were all rwd with the standard, static sport suspension and I never had a problem with feeling like it was too firm or harsh. I was shocked when I felt that way about the G20 xDrive with the static sport suspension. I immediately thought it was too harsh.

I have driven rwd 3ers in Chicago for over twelve years. I use a dedicated set of wheels and winter tires and I do better than the awd cars with all season tires.

If you decide to stick with xDrive, be sure to get the staggered, performance tires if you want to have the 155 mph increased speed limiter. If you get the square, all season tire setup you will get the lower 130 mph speed limiter.

Well, if you’re in Germany you have to use winter tires, right? Might as well have the drive system BMW intended when they designed the car.

What service are you in?

Correct on the winter tires! But I personally just prefer the AWD, and how it feels when driving.

Cool! The Air Force knows how to live! I was in the Army, but I was stationed at Goodfellow AFB twice.

Did you order staggered, performance tires or square all seasons?

Oh absolutely man! I get tons of travel time. Oh wow, good ole San Angelo!

I ordered the staggered performance tires.

Good for you!! On both counts!! Yeah, I enjoyed San Angelo! I grew up in Lubbock. After I got out of the Army I went back and finished my degree at Tech and then I lived in Fort Worth for seventeen years before I moved to Chicago. I’m really looking forward to another Chicago summer!! The summers here are glorious!! I was looking at a list of festivals scheduled just in the city the other day. There are more than 75 festivals in Chicago this summer. I love Texas and Fort Worth, but I do not miss the heat!!!

Congrats on the order! I'm also stationed in Germany. I ordered a 2025 M440i xDrive last month and was told it will be here within the next two weeks! Looks like you got a good deal!
