BMW M2 Competition (EU Model) vs BMW M2 Exhaust Sound.
BMW M2 Competition (EU Model) vs BMW M2 Exhaust Sound.
They both sound great. I need to code the M2C valves open.

m2 sounds a bit deeper, but not a lot different to me
was the "horrible sounding s55" just fake news? |

Original M2 just sounds so mean when you hear them back to back.
M2C sounds much better in mdm than in comfort mode but the original M2 sounds awesome always. Great comparison, Now I finally have a video I can use to show people the main reason I did not upgrade from OG M2 to M2C We may be slower but we will sound damn good doing it...

I think BMW did a bang up job on the M2C.

N55 sounds better so no surprise there for me but couple points:
- S55 definitely doesn't sound as bad as people exaggerate IMO. - Not sure OG M2 really had its valves closed in the Comfort mode. It was equally loud both in Comfort(supposedly valves closed per the description) and MDM (supposedly valves open per the description). - It's very well known that MDM is a special mode for OG M2 in terms of making the most aggressive and loud burbles. However, this is not the case for M2C as it follows same logic as the S55 M3/M4. In other words, to get the most aggressive, louder burbles from M2C you have to be in Sport+. - Lastly, as mentioned by others, I would like to hear this side-by-side comparison with a US spec M2C (no OPF). In any case, it's a nice comparison and thanks for sharing Chris! |

To my ears, The M2 sounds much better than the M2C. Deeper note, more aggressive. Even with the flaps open on the M2C, it sounded rather weak in my opinion. But everyone has their tastes, and I'm sure its nothing that an aftermarket exhaust wont fix
Thanks for the video |

Original is definitely noisier.
Noisier doesnt equal better for me, never bought into excitement over car noise, especially not turbo charged noise. |

OG M2 with MPE is hard to beat..
Like any turbo engine, engine sound is kind of muffled, S55 having 2 turbos instead of 1 on N55 surely doesn't help with sound..

Coding will not help You need to physically remove the OPF!
All in all, the M2 wins, much more interesting soundtrack. The M2C sounds like a foot mixer. What a horrible sound track knowing how that engine can sound!!! MR |

It has to be because of the OPF - my US spec M2C sounds much more aggressive than that one.
