I close my mirrors when I go through a carwash. I'm not sure if its possible above 25mph though.

Point being though, at speed you can't put them in so you can't drive home with them folded in.

And if I hadn't asked this stupid question, I wouldn't have known. I hadn't left the curb yet because I couldn't see behind me

Thank you!

2019 x3 fully loaded safety collision question I.e., if I zone out thinking about getting freaky with my wife on the famously comfortable and erotic sensatec center armrest while on the freeway, will the safety system fully brake my car to a complete stop if I am fully distracted?…not just warn me, but fully brake to a stop when not in cruise control?

Bump. I'd like to know this as well. I know that for the 2022 at least, if you do not have the Driving Assistance Pro package (with radar cruise) it will only brake for you below a certain mph (40, I think). But, even then, I don't know if it will bring you to a full stop or not.

Hi folks!

I have one question about playing videos in my BMW X3 G01 2020 via USB A stick.
The stick is FAT32 , i added on it several .mp4 videos having different resolutions e.g 854*480; 1920*1080; 1280*720 (all with 25 frames/seconds) however these videos are getting displayed on half screen and not on full screen on my idrive7.

Can you please help with an advice on what i can try to have the videos played in full screen on the idrive7 (Live Cockpit Professional)?

Thank you!

Wheel Spacers

So full disclosure I'm new to the world of "mods". I've always just driven the car the way it came. Since joining and reading and seeing all of the things folks do to their car. I had a question about the wheel spacer mod. Besides making the car look more awesome what other reason would one add wheel spacers. Is it simply cosmetic? What would one expect to pay to have decent quality spacers installed?

Cosmetic only. Spacers will cost you about $200-$300 for all 4 wheels. If you can change a tire, you can install them yourself, not difficult at all.

Does anyone know if you can turn off the "Tilt" down when selecting reverse for the passenger side mirror? I hate how it always tilts down

Try sliding the mirror adjustment switch to the other position/mirror. Has always been the way to enable/disable the 'tilt' function in previous models. It is how mine works in the 5-series.

The selector for which mirror to adjust, move it to the passenger side. This will turn off the auto tilt.

Anyone lock their doors while pumping gas? I've tried it twice before but the alarm went off in the middle of filling up. Curious if there's a secret to making sure it doesn't go off during.

As a complete BMW noob, what does G01/F25 etc stand for? Internal build names? Where can I read up more on this stuff?

Manufacturing code reference for each model range. I see you have a 2022 model X3, as a current model it's the G01 code, the previous generation X3 was designated as F25.

Here's a quick reference, there are others.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:BMW_model_codes

Here's a place you may be interested in, both giving codes and also part numbers for particular builds.

You can see the series, like 1, 3, 5, etc. plus the approximate years.

How do I use someone's build code, from the Summary of the configurator, to see the details of their build?

Have you tried pressing the lock button twice about 5 seconds apart. I find this useful on ferries as it disables the motion sensor for the alarm and it might work for you. Curious as to why you want to lock the car while filling the tank?

Just curious - why would you want or need to lock your doors while pumping gas since you're standing right there?
