I am trying to order the Perl Carbon front lip and side skirts via mygermany.com I tried using the 'my concierge' service and have them process the order. A couple of questions: - how would I avoid paying the 19% VAT tax? The price includes this fee - secondly, I cant seem to pay for the order: I added the items in the myCONSIERGE, but I cant get to the payment screen. I can select a CC or PayPal but neither option allows me to enter the data... I troed Edge and Opera browsers...

I was able to enter the items that I want them to purchase on my behalf and send me to USA (i.e. Perl Carbon front lip + side skirts), but the "PAY NOW" button won't work - that is as far as the system allows you to go. Apparently they're working on it...so likely/hopefully it should be back up by mid-late this week.

Another quick question: are the Perl Carbon bits made in the most common 2x2 weave pattern or something else?
My M2C has other CF parts (sold by RW Carbon), and obviously I want them to visually match...

Installed mine yesterday. Fitment was perfect, and it was fairly easy to get the mount done. Took a little while to get the u-nuts in, but with the help of some plastic wedges, it made the whole process easier. And its mounted solid. No way that lip comes off
Very happy with it! |

Yes, the holes are pre drilled for the Perl lip, no need to drill any holes on the lip itself. I'm on my second Perl lip now.

Just getting to this install and wondering if the big heavy metal plate is a necessity.
Also, I didn't realize the lip didn't have a front edge to it on the bottom, as in it's not enclosed at all which is, well, weird. So my pre-installation plan is to put some 2-part adhesive along the entire front edge in order to shore it up in case it comes into contact with anything. I'm also wondering if all the bolts are necessary. AUSf22 , it seems you didn't install the PITA bolts. Do you think the lip is secure enough without them? And lastly, which part are you guys saying to remove first, the black plastic part underneath? If you remove that for installation, how are you getting it back under the lip? Confused. |
