Canadian pricing confirmed

I got the call to make my deposit to be #1 on the list at my dealer.According to BMW Canada the orders will be on a 1st come 1st served basis with very limited numbers.Now I wait!

Do you know how long of a wait?

And you know you didn't have to buy the GTS to prove your car is faster then my car.

I got my Bill of Sale with no pricing but with an ETA of May 30th 2016.I was told to expect more details with in the next week.

So, IIRC, you went from wanting a GT4 to a GT350 to a GTS.

What was the thought process for you finally settling on the GTS? Is it because you were so impressed with the base M4 in the Ontario 1500

?

.I am hearing pricing anywhere from $120-160 CDN.It is not the 1st time that I committed to a car without knowing the cost.

I still have the GT350 coming but I have a feeling the M4 that I have will still be quicker on a road course than the Ford as it is slower than the M4 according to the times I saw today and is 200 lbs heavier than the M.The problem that both of us had that the M4 on the 1500 was that is was not a great car for Autocross with the turbo lag issues.Both of us were National Champions in Autocross in V8 rwd cars where you positioned the car a lot with the throttle which was not a doable thing with the M and an integral part of being fast.
A lot will depend on the make up of the 1500 next year.The thinking is only 5 days next year at 3 tracks(Mosport,Shannonville & Calabogie) which will entail less autocrossing which will be better for a turbo car.Now that I know that I can get the GTS I still prefer the idea of having an M car.I think I ordered the GT350 the week my M4 had the transmission issues which probably clouded my judgement a fair bit.

Showtime is, actually, 12 days away.

According to Scott26, the car gets it's public debut at the Tokyo Auto Show.
I would expect some pricing then or shortly thereafter.

But, who knows what games they're playing.

Remember we are in Canada and we usually know our pricing on new product well after Americans.
