That's what I thought. I think the manager didn't believe me over the phone and wanted proof. Seemed put out when I proved the deal to them.

Woeth trying another Nissan garage or move on?

I've enquired about the lease from that company.

Try as many as you can sir! Very good that you getting official quote from Nissan deal. You will have black and white proof. Many times people were rude and laughing in my face , who gives a shit. Be persistent and quick and I am sure you will secure decent deal.

Check this one as well https://uchoosecontracts.co.uk/offers - no admin fees!

I have dealt with them before as well , very very good blokes.

Thanks, I'll give it a go!

Was that link for a specific car? It links to an offers page, or did you mean check this out as a company?

Yeap , check all up. I was going through them to get my R. They run my order through VW Crewe without any extra fees. Worth checking.

I wouldn't worry about going either way. It's the deal that's important.

Mrs Lobbs Tiguan was a lease last year. First time she went lease but the deal was one of those end of quarter specials.

It's also worth thinking about exactly when you give the car back. My M135i is a three year pcp. Due to finish Oct 218. However, at that time it will be due it's service (£500) road tax and MOT (£300). So I'll be giving it back a couple of months earlier

£300 for a MOT? Where do you take it Harrods? £35 at Halfords

Edit: would it be possible for Nissan to match those figures directly so we could test drive one?
My only concern would be the engine, the 1.2 DIG T engine is gash, full of flat spots and barely adequate.

My wife also likes the idea of "resetting" the deal and getting a new car within the PCP term, assuming there's no negative equity
Never assume. Especially when cars, PCP and equity are involved.

The only guarantee you have is when you keep it full term

My Mrs has an X-trail via a broker and that came from Arbury Nissan in Bromsgrove.

There is a a cracking deal on Mini Cooper S Ds with Media XL and Chilli pack from £150 pm with upfront payment of approx £1500 on lease. But probably too small for you.

Some pretty decent lease deals on the new Skoda Karoq which would be a great family car as well.

Thanks for the replies all, in terms of the engine I've heard it's a bit crap but the car will largely be doing short journeys so not sure it's a massive concern?

XAlp my wife liked the 2008, I don't mind it. Seems refined enough, engine was gutless but that's what we're going for. The fact that it has Android Car and Apple Carplay makes the tech much better.

ajfoggy where was that lease deal? It might be a bit small, but it's a great car.

davyk31 I've seen a couple of deals but non seem to be in stock, we'd like a car sooner rather than later.

Skoda Karoq headline figure is £74 plus vat but you can change the deposit to suit, my mate gets all of his cars from vehicle savers.

Not a bad deal,

The Seat Ateca seems like a decent deal, SE Technology doesn't have the same amount of kit as the Qashqai but still decent:

https://www.contracthireandleasing.c...eca/242115372/

"Even entry-level S models get 16in alloy wheels, air-conditioning, a multi-function steering wheel, Bluetooth connectivity and a 5.0in infotainment system. We’d advise spending a little extra to upgrade to SE trim, though. This adds 17in wheels, cruise control, rear parking sensors, an 8.0in colour touchscreen, smartphone integration, climate control and a rear armrest.

SE Technology makes the most sense, adding LED headlights and sat-nav to all the stuff you get with regular SE trim."

The Karoq deals are very tempting:

Works out at just under £5k for the 2 years.

The Ateca can be got pretty cheap. On Pistonheads lease thread guys are posting £115 per month and £2400 deposit. Think that was for the Diesel engine but not sure.

Also people posting on the mini deals be careful as otter people have been passed off 6 month old pre reg cars without being told. Means the warranty isn't as long as these were 3 year deals so potentially 6 months with no warranty where the buyer was expecting a brand new car with full warranty for the term.

Good price for a brand new model. Means there won't be loads on these on the road for a while as waiting lists will be long. Simpsons Skoda also regularly mentioned on the Pistonheads thread as being a good dealer to lease from.
