thanks but i know all about GPS. i'm an engineer for a major military contractor, i've been to several war zones, and there is a big difference between a civilian GPS and the real deal military GPS (and it's a good thing that there is a bit of a gap!).
Vbox type devices are great for measuring where you're at and at measuring gains from your mods but other than that they are only as good as their supporting technology. i'm glad you're car is running good but if you want some real gains i would ditch the tiny twins and go with a big single, good luck. |

Whats wrong with their supporting technology? It has a 10hz gps with interpolation. That's easily good for accuracy down to 0.05 seconds.

From Wikipedia: "Initially, the highest quality signal was reserved for military use, and the signal available for civilian use was intentionally degraded (Selective Availability). This changed with President Bill Clinton ordering Selective Availability to be turned off at midnight May 1, 2000, improving the precision of civilian GPS from 100 meters (about 300 feet) to 20 meters (about 65 feet). The executive order signed in 1996 to turn off Selective Availability in 2000 was proposed by the US Secretary of Defense, William Perry, because of the widespread growth of differential GPS services to improve civilian accuracy and eliminate the US military advantage. Moreover, the US military was actively developing technologies to deny GPS service to potential adversaries on a regional basis.[13] Over the last decade, the U.S. has implemented several improvements to the GPS service, including new signals for civil use and increased accuracy and integrity for all users, all while maintaining compatibility with existing GPS equipment."

Hotrod, I still remember when I posted runs of 12.6@114 with a vbox in 07' with original procede, not xede, with race gas, , rims tires, otherwise stock. Nobody believed me back then! It's laughable now, but you we're the only one who said that I should take it to a track and shut them all up, you we're the ONLY one who didn't think I was full of it.
