take your badges off, roundells off, remove your grille's and sidemarkers (leave empty), remove the rear spoiler yet leave the tape behind, and remove your mirror covers..

no1 will touch your car..
theres nothing to steal, and no1's gonna key an already vandalized car!

EDIT: after seeing the post b4 this..
on a serious note dont get white... you need to hide the CF roof as much as possible..
blacks too flashy, i would go w/ a grey or silver choice...

man wha tpart of Crenshaw blvd is your hows on? buy a 98 Civic AND an M3, and just swap the bodies and tint the windows so people can't see the M3 interior. From what I hear its not too hard.

Are you writing this from jail?

No, but seriously why can't you just leave? It takes some pretty significant financial means to purchase an M3, so obviously money is not the issue here. What's forcing you to stay put?

Anyway, to answer the question, IMHO, no matter what you do to disguise a BMW it still screams pricey luxury car. So I'd can the idea until you have a better living situation.

My reply may not be the most popular one here, but Imo bmw's are pretty much low key looking to begin with. The main reason why I got into BMW's in the 1st place..

Bmw's style has a more mature and sedate look, compared to other cars like the Cayman or 911 etc..

OP..Don't worry about it, it's just a car ... Thieves will steal a corolla just the same as they would an m3. No car, no matter the local is 100% safe...Just get some good insurance and maybe an alarm and be done with it.

Buy an M3 and debadge everything to look nonflashy. Second choice 135i. Girlfriend buys you a northface jackeck with a black cover over the label. Do you live in a house disguised like a box? Do you work in an office disquised like 7-11? Do your girlfriend dresses like a man? Do you see how moronic this whole hang up is regarding wanting to be low keyed to the extreme? A trip to the psychiatrist should help with this perplexing decision.

Good thing the bolt pattern on the BMW is the same as most american cars- just put some Camaro wheels on there and your golden! Camaro badge on the back- bowtie in the front.

or just stick to the 135 and mod that ...

i just think its silly for you to buy a car that you think is to flashy to begin with and have to spend money after the purchase to "tone it down". just save the money from the start and purchase something less expensive.
Yea....I might agree with that. Why buy an M3 and then tone it down? Sounds like the kids who make such an effort to be "non-conformist" they don't realize that by being "non-conformist" they're conforming to being non-conformist (and really being more conformist than the people they try so hard not to be like). Did that make sense btw? Okay maybe not that extreme, but you get my drift.

Just buy a cheaply modded and not well taken care of e36 with a corner and side marker missing and some purple bubbly tint. Maybe throw a couple different wheels and a fart can on the back. Oooh and to top it all off....some carbon altezzas on the back and projectors for the front.

He cannot move because that's where he gets money! And he wants to be low key because he gets it off the books. And the m3 wont be under his name and he defiantly should be saving for property and not an m3 if this is the situation which i think it is. No more needed to say or he is just lying like some said.

Whoever said they live in the bx what part im in tn.

The North Face sucks to begin with, so I would hide the logo as well. If your going to do that at least make sure is is Mountain Hardware or Arcteryx. Your obviously a troll.

You could always do this to your car if you don't want to be flashy:

If you buy an M3 will your car cost more than your house? If so move, first.
