Hi Guys,

Is July the date of the announcement of the 40 version of the ix3 ? Or the date of the availability on the road ?
When will it be available for order?

I have to order my new car before mid-mai, and i'm wondering if this model will be available
Thanks in advance !

All my dates are start of production.

You need to know the timing of dealer processes in Belgium specifically, and this is mostly a US forum. So it's best to ask your dealer. They won't talk to you about unannounced models, but you can give them a more general question: when can they usually place orders for cars that start production in July?

Thanks for your answer. I'll contact the dealer.
One more question : in your opinion, which range could we expect with the 82.6 kWh usable battery and the single motor?

480km for the full battery, since you mostly use it between 10-80%, around 340-380km. Not accounting for cold conditions.

Hi, was able to configure the iX3 40 last saturday at the local dealer (in The Netherlands), they reserved 20 production spots for juli 2026, so ordering now would give a delivery in juli.

WLTP range in Europe combined with 20" rims would be 640 km.

Online configurators will be modified in the coming days.

ynguldyn, the dealers keep telling people trying to order 2026 iX that this model has been discontinued. Apparently, there are no allocations for May. Do you have any updates?

New BMW i7 to be unveiled on 22 April
Fresh look and revised batteries primed for new i7 as BMW rolls out its Neue Klasse range

Its battery, meanwhile, will receive the cylindrical cells introduced with the Neue Klasse models but integrated into the same housing as the existing i7.

BMW added that it has worked with Croatian firm Rimac Technology on the new i7’s high-voltage battery system. Mate Rimac, founder and president of the Rimac Group, said the revised electricals will bring “significant improvements in energy, range and charging performance”.

Will China's G42 follow the US market and be equipped with the B58TU2 engine on August 26th? Or will it be equipped with the B58TU3 engine on April 27th? Will they continue using the 333-horsepower model until production ceases in 2029?

Not too shocking. iX5 will be out by EoY and replaces the iX position-wise. I'm only surprised they didn't wait until the iX5 launch like they are with the i4 vs i3 but I suppose US sales numbers are not looking too great for high end electric CUVs.

Is it likely there is no diesel option at all for the G50 3 Series?

That's a big gap between the 320i and the M350? And no the 330e does not fill the gap in my opinion.

Actually, not sure how in tune you are with marketing and naming, but what will be the official names of the M-performance variants of the NA0 and NA5? As of right now they are actually badged in a way that keeps a similar naming style to the ICE sedans (i350 and iX350, with no space between on the badge), but are the M60 variants going to put the M elsewhere or will they add a space in the badged name of the cars (eg i3 M60 and iX3 M60)? The only car currently out with the new naming scheme is the 2GC, which just follows the usual sedan naming.

Related note, but any clue of how BMW will officially refer to G84 and ZA0? I know they'll both be called the M3, but wondering if there will be a subtitle on either of them, like M3 Electric, M3 Classic, etc? We haven't seen a case of the same name being applied to models with different powertrains unlike Audi (TFSI vs e-Tron) and Mercedes (... with EQ Technology).

Somehow didn't consider this, thanks. So oddly it's one "word" without the M-Perf, two with (X330 vs X3 M50). Fairly awkward naming scheme but I suppose that's never really not been true when the M was added to the name of the mid-line engines anyway.

Seems BMW China plays the trick to deliberately limit the power by controlling the engine variant and 48V availability of M240i sold in China...
So, most probably, 333 always.

That would be awkward. Having already got the B48, upgrading to another B48 seems unnecessary, while the B58's power has been reduced in the Chinese market.
Then I heard that the B58B30M1 is about to be discontinued. Would BMW really keep a separate production line just for the Chinese market?

If G20 says 10/26 I imagine thats when last cars will be produced? I'm debating buying a 2026 330i fully loaded with M sport or a m340i and trying to understand up until which day I can place an order. My current lease is up end of the year and don't want to miss the chance to place an order to buy this time.
