It took me about 7 months from first pic to last. It took alot of cardio and aggressive diet. Im doing p90x now because a motorcycle accident and failed relationship makes you gain weight.

Well let me say one thing. This was the first time I decided to lose weight not me currently. Second I am only speaking of my personal experiences I am not a doctor so please dont take what I say as medical advice.
1. First and I believe most important thing to start out a diet is to get your mind on it first. Your mind will give up way before your body. Suck it up and keep going. 2. I had a little edge because I would spend 12hrs a day walking around 130F weather while wearing about 70lbs of body armor and gear. ( Iraq ) 3. First month I ate less than 50g of carbs a day. I also did cardio Am and Pm. Its the roughest month. 4. This will get alot of weight off and will make following workout easier. Then I ate a very strict diet. I alternated very low carb and norm carb diets every other month. 5. Also two a days at the gym cardio in the AM and cardio after lifting in the PM. It is at these times that your glycimic level is the lowest and you will burn energy from fat. I posted those pictures to show you that it can be done by the normal average guy. Just be strong in your head and you will be happy with what you see. One last tip set a reachable goal to hit. Never say " I want to lose 50lbs", change that to I want to lose "20 lbs in 3 months". it is easie to attain therefore you be more motivated to hit it. Good Luck Guys. Thanks for the compliments. |

That would be nice, but not possible. How about we PayPal $5 dollars (each) to the winner? The winner won't be who lost the most weight; it will be the person who transforms their body best. And we all get to vote on the person...

^ I'll join. I started last Monday, today was the start of the second week, if you guys don't mind, I'd like to share my thoughts so far (please fast forward, I am doing this to get it off my chest more than anything).
Was in the best shape of my life probably about a year and a half ago, I am 5'6, was about 145 at the time, solid build. I moved, started focusing on my career, became a couch potato. Looked at myself in the mirror a couple weeks ago and am just disgusted with what I've become. I've put on about 20 pounds. I just feel ashamed of myself, struggling through these workouts and I'm only on week 2. I've commited myself to a diet, which seems to be the easiest part about this whole deal thus far, though I know it's early and temptation is always looming. Sorry for the bore fellas, just frustrated with myself, I will keep pressing play. Thanks for listening. |
