Don’t suppose you’ve the same document but for the rear door card? I’ve an F40 but there’s hardly anything online for it expect the video OP posted
I’ve circled where I believe the screws to be but I feel like I’m missing one |

Please and thank you go a long way don’t they. Manners cost nothing and I appreciate you replying so quickly I think I got it. I’ve done my old F21 door cards before and didn’t run into any problems. I’m just a bit heavy handed so wanted to make sure I’ve covered all the screws before I tried popping it off and discovered I’d missed one 🤣🤣 Behind the door card there’s another panel of sorts. I might be calling it the wrong name but it used to be called a vapour covering I think , I see on these F40s it’s bolted on. Are they easy enough to remove also? I’m chasing down a rattle that’s driving me insane. If you had a guide to the panel underneath the door card I’d greatly appreciate that too but you’ve already been super helpful Thanks again. |

I don't remember another removable panel behind the door card. I thought there was just a slightly sticky covering, for sound deadening and/or water resistance. I doubt that there's much you can detach. Perhaps wedging bits of foam or poking some silicone inside. I did stick some bitumenised stuff on exposed metal but I don't think it did much.
Did you get the clips off without breaking any? I bought a pack of 20 spares before removing all 4 doors and had to use about two-thirds of them. It's very useful to lightly lubricate each clip before refitting - tends to avoid breakage and makes removal easier the next time (!). A squirt of WD-40 dry PTFE is best, both on the point of the clip and on the slot in the door card. |

It’s raining where I am so I’ve put it off until the weather is better. Here’s a photo of what I expect to find behind the door card. Thanks for the heads up with the WD40. I’ve got spare clips left over from my F21 so assuming they’re the same size I’ll have plenty of spares 20 or so left I think. I’ll be using a felt “sound deadening” tape around anything that could possibly rattle, like the metal pole for the door lock button etc. oddly about 90% of the rattle noise goes away if I put the window down which is why I’m thinking of taking that panel off. The original poster of the image said he undid all the sliver bolts you can see in the photo and it wouldn’t budge. Makes me think there’s either a hidden bolt somewhere or it’s glued on. Step 1 will be to use the noise dampening tape on anything that can move or rattle and reapply the door card , if that doesn’t help I’ll have to dig deeper into where the window carriers are. |

You're right about the inner panel; I'd seen it and decided to ignore it. I think there's far too much going behind there - window motor and associated fixings. Once these things get out of alignment, sorting them out could be a job for an experienced mechanic.

Yes, hopefully I won’t need to take that panel off. It looks a lot more complicated than the older models, I do have experience replacing a window regulator, however who knows what these newer models have in there. |
