I think there’s a new 1 series! Too bad we don’t get that here in US

Picked this up a couple of weeks ago, not the best pics but you get the idea.

Already changed the front grill, mirror caps and canards to black as prefer that look.

Really enjoying the car so far.
Have you had any other modifications done to your car, I'm looking at possible brake upgrades on mine...Also a happy skyscraper grey owner

Looks pretty cool, I'd swap the silver mirror caps for black as your first mod, would look way better with the colour accents. Haven't seen this colour in the flesh in Australia yet.

Done so far:
-Fitted OEM M135 exhaust + diffuser
-Fitted front splitter
-Painted wing mirrors gloss black (I wouldn’t put M mirrors on a non-M!)

To do:
- Lowering springs 30F/25R
- Maxton sideskirt
- Wheel spacers

Im trying to achieve the best wheel fitment for my 18” 554s for minimal arch gap and a ‘beefy’ ‘full’ look. Would i need to upsize my tires?
Hey, what are the tyre size and wheel size? Looks great.

Got new wheels, inspired by the OEM BMW 555M.
But in forged and better fitting dimensions.

And now with a new suspension setup (finetuned rebound) and height, the car drives as intended.

118i with 135 exhaust conversion - didn’t think the spacers would make a difference but very pleased with the result. Keeping these wheels on for now Looking at the images again makes me want to lower it even more.. 25/30 isn’t enough

You need 19" wheels. With the small 18's it looks higher.
Why did you switch to a M135 exhaust and not a different manufacturer like Remus? More sound and looks better.

Agreed. The F40 sits so high stock so considering 19s in the future.

As for the exhaust, my mates upgraded their m135i exhaust and has given me the stock exhaust box and pipes from their m135i for free. - Increased sound and tiny throatiness, but not as throaty as custom exhaust / backbox delete. I do like the tone though, it sounds less tamed but still subtle. I prefer OEM+

Wheel upgrade recommendations for my BMW F40 Melbourne Red

I bought this used car at the end of last year and have been driving it for about six months now.
I still feel happy every time I see it, but I’m thinking about upgrading the wheels to give it a fuller, more aggressive look.
Without removing the Chrome Window Molding, any recommendations for wheel brands, sizes, or ET values that would work well with Melbourne Red?
Thank's everyone.

I’m looking to upgrade the wheels on my F40, and I’m wondering what’s the absolute limit for this chassis. I’ve seen plenty of 18" and 19" setups, but I’m tempted to go for 20 inch wheels.
Does anyone here run 20s? If so, could you share your specs?

When you go up in wheel size, the max spec in terms of width doesn't really change. I've seen some 20" fitments on the F40 and it looks like a hot wheel car. But to each their own.
I'd suggest you aim for 8.5J x 20" ET45+ with 235/30 tire.
