Phone fast charging

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone had a problem with the USB C in the centre console.

My one is not fast charging, I asked my local BMW service centre and they gave me a story that this is a data point and that it is not meant for fast charging but for transferring data

I have resorted to connecting my phone in the rear seat ports which does have fast charging.

Took the car in to BMW again today.
They say there is probably a typo on the vehicle manual.
Apparently the centre console USB is not meant to be for fast charging.

Seems really odd to me.
