Exhaust tailpipes / tips
I'm looking hard for some new exhaust tips to replace the cerium grey ones on the car. I can't find any which fit. Ideally gloss black or those carbon M logo ones would be nice, otherwise I'll just have to resort to painting the grey ones black myself

Not sure where to get the tips from.. I thought it would be fairly simple to find them.. on ebay or something. Is it the connector bit that doesn't fit?

On our cars, the tailpipes are big diameter, I removed the cerium grey tip this morning and the end pipe on the stock exhaust under it is 81mm diameter, so need something bigger to fit over that, also there's a locating pin so to have new tips, they would either have to be very similar to the OEM ones in size or those short one's on various shops on the internet would need to be very short, and the shortest I could find was 90mm length which are no good unless they have a groove cut out so they can fit over the locator pin. Always a pain with our cars, they've been out for almost a year and you can't even get a K&N air filter for them! (had the Pipercross, poor manufacturing quality with paint peeling off the black mesh then imaging those paint fragments sucked into my turbo!)

Don't worry about the Pipercross, they're not all like that, but the problem is we don't know until the paint starts coming off. I suggest a visual check probably every 2 weeks. Pipercross told me they buy the mesh ready painted. I can't understand why it needs to be painted in the first place.
I've just bought black matt exhaust paint for the tips so will post some pics once I've had time to paint them |

I painted the exhaust tips but didn't like them, so took them to my local bodyshop and they are doing them in gloss black, they said they'd paint them the same way they paint cars, so the exhaust tips will also be baked at high temperature. Hopefully have them back in the next couple of days and will attach them and take photos👍
