Question- digital key?
Does the 2GC come with digital key, either ability to use phone as key, or the NFC credit card key that is available on the 3 series?
I have read requirements for digital key, and it appears the 2GC meets them- I drive 7 and comfort access. Having the cc key would be great for when I go mountain biking. I could lock the real key in glovebox( in Faraday bag) and just take the credit card key.. On a side note, my Storm Bay 235 just finished build.. now the long wait for it to "cross the pond". Can't wait for it to finally arrive. Thanks! M |

Be aware the key card is sort of weak compared to your key fob . I find have to hold it against sensor on door to open and put in the phone charger bay to start up car. Not sure if it should be like that or not. I'm only using as a valet if need arises.

That's exactly how its meant to work. It's just an NFC card, not something active with a battery like your key fob. It's real convenience is if you can carry a card, but not the card, particularly if you're going swimming or something like that.

Hi,
Mine came with the Key Card although it took about couple days to become active and programmable. IOS currently doesnt show the card option and not sure if it will but if you have droid you can add the digital one as well. As some of the folks mentioned the card is a bit fragile and needs a good touch if you want to unlock with it. Cheers |
