I gotta admit, that looks mighty fine from the side view. With a dark tint and some wheel spacers it would be downright hot.
I think the reviewers hated it because they were all comparing it to the M340i or 240i. But they forget that this was aimed at people who wanted a step up from a Honda Accord. Not a step down from an M3. |

It seems like these days most people are in these forums just to piss on other people’s BMWs and claim their BMW is better.

This is like if Porsche made a fwd 911, it go against everything the brand tells its customers. And then you have the 4 series where they point to the history of the vertical grille, so are the sticking with the past or abandoning their slogan of the ultimate driving machine. I am all for change, but I am also willing to call out when BMW oversteps the line and is heading in the wrong direction. I can't stand it when I see a thread full of yes people with no opinion. The thread devolves into an echo chamber. I never drove the RS, but that car was made for fun and the reviews agree. You look at reviews for the M235i and reviews say its just a car that will get you from A to B. I plan on test driving the M235i next time I'm at the dealer, need to see for myself. https://youtu.be/CCKTgDz9_mg |

I passed a black one yesterday around noon, sunny day and the lights looked ok but as I saw the side profile..it said absolutely nothing BMW about it, in fact, the side profile looked exactly like a kia. in fact, there was a black kia on the next headlight and I could not help but realize that that kia had better road presence and design than this thing..

Indeed. I have had this now for 2 months almost and it has been a great car around town for my needs. I have waited to be told by some fan boy in public or someone else it is ugly or some other comment. Funny I have heard none. In fact I have had nothing but compliments on it and people asking what model it was. In fact with my arms full today I used the kick function to ajto open the trunk. A guy stopped and said man I thought that feature only on suvs...and that is a great color. So the derivation seems online haters.

Driving a 1M in Buffalo NY in the winter is as hard core BMW enthusiast as it gets. ApprecIate your write up here and your opinion. Welcome to the south and congrats on your new car. Atlanta traffic vs Buffalo snow is a toss-up
Let's hope the Sabres, ex Canes player and new GM can right the ship. BTW how did u injure your knee? Driving or other? |

I did have snow tires I must admit. I only stayed home from work once when the roads were a sheet of ice. I broke my knee by falling and shattering it; it split in half . I have 6 pins holding it together. I'm a woman who solders on; but a 1m coupe was not the car for my present state. I loved that car but times and people's needs change. I'm just glad that BMW made a car for me that was the right size, the right price and fun to drive. Those of us who own the 2GC are satisfied. We n need to start talking about what fun our cars are. Let others pontificate all they want. We're happy. |

That's awesome pic and Watkins Glenn NY ain't too shabby.
Upstate NY has some beautiful driving roads. Finger lakes area - route 17 curvy down along the river. I lost my license back in the day up there thanks to my heavy foot, wide open roads and state troopers with radar guns haha. |
