Even when they took off the M8C jumped and the 911 pulled by it like it was nothing. Looks like the 911 turbo is still the best daily driveable supercar with hyper car performance. Take out the stupid scores, looks like an easily clean sweep on performance, handling, and braking for the 911. Last edited by Funf6cyl; 05-22-2020 at 12:00 PM.. |

Don’t forget that the Ferrari motor is bigger at 3.9 and running 20-22psi(pista) vs 3.8L and 17.5psi on the 911. Did porsche lower the compression from 9.8 to 8.7 on the new turbo(still a 3.8L), thats even less power at the same boost! I know the answer to this mystery, lets see if you guys can figure it out. Vic has the right idea.... Last edited by TTHURACAN; 06-01-2020 at 06:42 PM.. |

Car and driver quotes 17.5 in 1 article and 22.5 in the other lol:
22.5psi -> https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...turbo-s-drive/ 17.5psi -> https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a2...rbo-s-details/ What most people don’t know is that the standard 488 rarely hits 15psi of boost, far from the advertised 20+psi |

Also Ferrari quotes dry weight so they are significantly heavier in the real world than they lead you to believe. Also not surprised they would be hitting different boost than claimed. |

The 992 will be a special ride. Especially with the better AWD vs the 991.2
The 992 turbo manifold design is a casting based on the 991.2 GT2RS. 991.2 TTS has a billet compressor wheel that is pretty trick for its size. 58 mm at the base and 62mm at the wheel tips The 992 has a 60 mm at the base. Probably 64 at the tips. Not monumental, but a nice upgrade. Biggest upgrade is the 992 turbine is 4mm larger. Plus they went to an internal gate for quicker cat light off. The IG will not add flow but the larger wheel does. The 991.2 GT2RS has even larger turbos. Around 70mm base compressor. But there is the digital gage vs analog and the nubbin issue. Plus 86lbs more weight. Overall it will be better but “different “. |

With lower compression, less displacement, more weight, and larger turbos one would assume it to be less responsive. Maybe the extra gear/shift speed from the pdk will make up for it lol....

Not bad at all at 10.4 at 137mph. With a better hook should be a 10.2 ride. 6.76 60mph to 130mph is nice too. My 2019TTS stock was a 7.4 Tuned its quicker than the 6.76 But a 6.76 stock is a killer improvement. |
