Permaplate/Dingshield dealer recommending .. Thoughts ?

Dealer is recommending Permaplate ($495) , Dingshield ($395) prior to delivery , prices rolled into lease. I'm not familiar with the products, thoughts?

My initial reaction was to decline , but if they are beneficial, priced right, maybe I'll include them.

Not familiar with Dingshield but skip Permaplate. Just a marked up paint sealant you can do yourself or get a true paint coating like Opti Coat or cQuartz.

Never heard of either. When I am going through the car buying process though I am generally on auto pilot in terms of saying "no" to any add on's they are trying to sell me.

I'm not familiar with these products but I have never come across a dealer add-on that could not be sourced independently for less money and often with higher quality.

P.S. Ding Shield looks to be an insurance plan that pays for paintless dent repairs. Looks like you can buy it directly. Or just pay for PDR if and when you need it...
