There is still time for you to take your heads out of your arses and bring us a proper 2ER sedan ... and make it an M so we will buy it. kinda Sucks that we have to cajole BMW into building what has been a best seller for them ? |

The opposite, actually. There's absolutely no chance at this point for a four-door counterpart to the G42. That ship sailed long, long ago. Per above, there's technically a tiny (microscopic, really) chance for a two-door counterpart to the F44 to take the place of the would-be G42. But like I say, that simply makes no sense - it would be insane for them to switch course and do that at this point. |

Sure there's the C43, S4, and M340i. But they aren't "fun" in the way you and I view that word. I was really counting on the 2er GC to fulfill this niche.

After owning a Focus RS, it was heavy and AWD, but (extremely) fun. ‘If’ Xdrive is done right and paired with a manual it can be very engaging, my hope is BMW follows other makers and offers their FWD models in Xdrive and a manual. |

He bought an Alfa Giulia Q4 and said its the best car he's had in a while and reminds him of his Cayman and ZHP. He said it really is an emotional car and just feels less electronic and more raw. Luckily he's also had no issues in 2 years and 35k miles, and his dealer is paired w/ Porsche and Maserati so loaners are no problem for him and his service department is fast. Honestly, if you have a good Alfa Dealer Network and can get a good lease deal (I still don't know if I would buy/own one long term) the Giulia is a very enticing car. You can get a 2/3 year lease for cheap. I don't plan on getting one myself, but I am going to test drive one to see if all the wonderful things I've heard about this vehicle are true. |

I've driven the Golf R and Focus RS as well as a number of regular Haldex cars and the Ford setup is obviously the best, but the Golf R was noticeably nicer than the other Haldex ones and closer to the Ford than the plain Haldex setup. |

BMW has been in the game for almost two decades with MINI though. They just seem to get worse every generation, which doesn't bode well for the 2GC.
The M2 is a great (but heavy) car, but like you, the current configuration doesn't work for my needs. I hold no hope of BMW building good fwd based cars though. |

In the same interview they admit they made several mistakes on cars that were for enthusiasts, demand far exceeding what they had allotted back in Germany. These companies are not in touch the way many enthusiasts think they are, if you build a great drivers car people will buy it...ie M2 |
