DSC replacement: code module or swap original?

Hi all.
2009 335 manual.
Recently I've been getting some intermittent errors 5DD0 and 5DD2 on on DSC.
And I understand that this is generally due to motor brushes failing in the DSC motor.
I bought a used DSC from a 2013 335 RWD and am ready to swap it in.
What's the best approach here?
  • Should I swap my original module over to the new pump asssy?
  • Or should I install the entire new DSC assy and code the new module to the car?
In either case, I'll need to recalibrate, right? And of course the bleed procedure.
I've got bimmergeeks standard tools and ista to work with.
Thanks!
