BM3 Stage 2 with E85 flex fuel

Odd that I'm having this issue - I passed last year with no problems. Somehow, the IM settings for the Oxygen Sensor Monitor and/or Catalyst Monitor will not set to do the testing (one of the two needs to set).

First off - I have no idea how these even reset in the first place. I've never had a CEL or a disconnected the battery. Car runs perfect.

So after they told me they couldn't test, I did a quick reset - figured a day of driving would do it. I gave the car to my son to put some extended miles on...and everything set but these last 2. Did a few cycles (to over 190° then let is cool), then did 2 55MPH runs for over 10 minutes. Last go, was doing 60 for 30+ minutes. I'm on day 4, 220 miles, and all I've done was burn through a tank of gas.

Anyone seen or hear of this issue?

Tried looking up BMW specifics for these, mention 55MPH for 2 minutes, down to 20 MPH, 3/4 throttle back up to 55 - nothing. Thought for sure extended 55 and 60 would do it.

Does your tune have the rear O2 monitor sensor turned off? Go thru your settings for emissions related controls.

This was the issue - thanks so much. Not sure why I would have taken this off the OEM setting and set to off, but it was. Just need to go for another drive.

Need to update my garage, as I just recently got rid of that car (few months ago). Still troll that site to see if it will show up over there

Same thing happened to me, even down to no issue LY passing on the tune, on 🌽, and with catless DP’s. I wound up running out all the 🌽 and filling with 93 and flashing back to stock. Monitors set in no time. But my O2 sensors were still turned on…

Will say...after changing the setting Wanted_M mentioned, but items set on my next drive. Thought through all the last process of trying, the cars at E20 now. Just need the evap to clear...

You should be able to pass with the evap not set. They allow for one to be not set. O2's need to be set or you'll fail for sure.
